About edtrain
Grew up in a RR family. Parents worked for the Frisco Ry. Dad was a great rail fan. My brother still is a serious railfan and collector. I worked in train service during the early 60s as a brakeman and switchman for the Frisco. I'm a latecomer to railfanning. Love taking pictures of 1:1 trains. Work in a photo lab, so I can print my own pix. Just got a digital still camera (Fuji S5000) and love it. (Update: The Fuji is a great cam and I'm still learning all the functions. What a difference from film.) The old Pentax is gathering dust but sits at the ready for emergency service. 1Feb06. After two years with the Fuji, I'm still well pleased with it. It definitely has to have NiMH batteries. Alkalines are good for 30-60 minutes. Am getting the hankering for more resolution. This one has only 3.1 megapixels of rez. .
