I model in n scale, and have done so since the dawn some 35 years ago. Somewhere West is my current loft layout, started in 1992. The loft is not large, but it has a high pitched roof (the reason I chose the house!), so the layout spirals round 5 times from waist to eyeline height, giving a run of 8 scale miles. It is not based on any particular RR or time (sorry purists!), so I run cab-forwards,gas turbines and tunnel motors. They are mainly western roads. Videos can be seen at you-tube Bob NORRIS
