Grew up in Hollidaysburg, PA when it was in the shadow of the Pennsylvania Railroad and Altoona, PA. I have a lifelong interest in the railroad industry.
I had a unique experience in the USAF having been a Photo Interpreter 1969-1973 for the images made using U2, SR71 and Keyhole Satelitte. I made many reports and graphics for railroad facilities. That experience explains my continuing interest in national defense.
I am now very interested in the national defense need and economic need for a non-oil based, parallel transportation system created by electrifying freight railroads.
Oh yes, William Kiesel resided in Hollidaysburg, the PRR's famous mechamical engineer. He made quite an impression. When I was a child, being a child, I had the misfortune of his ire. He very much disliked children in his old age.
