I'm a retired modeller living near Woodbridge Suffolk in the UK and have a consuming interest in Canadian railways, especially the CPR.
I've been fortunate to visit Canada twice, once to visit the Ontario Southland Railway when I was given a guided tour of the line by Jeff Willsie the president.
The second trip was with my wife and we did a 3 week fly drive tour from Calgary to Vancouver Island and back to Calgary, truly the trip of a lifetime.
I have a smallish collection of brass steam and higher end diesels, going for quality rather than quantity and being retired I really can't afford to expand the fleet too much. Being handy with repairs does help though as cheaper non runner and damaged locos occasionally come into my price bracket!
No layout as yet but a test track and rolling road, will I ever get round to it - who knows!
