I have been in the hobby for about 4 years after deciding to get back into modelling but wanting something a bit more dynamic than the 1/72 model aircraft I used to make. I belong to a small club in central Victoria, Australia, call the Puckapunyal Model Railway. I have built 3 layouts so far: a HO 2x8 Time Saver based on the railroad yards in Kansas City which I was living near when I got into the hobby, a OO 4x6 based on a Hornby Track Mat to run the kids Thomas Trains and my Flying Scotsman and occasionally my Dutch DDM, and finally a HO 9x5 US Railroad. For my latest project I have decided to rebuild my 9x5 as I was not totally happy with it. I have modified the Model Railroader Virginian into the Norfolk & Western 9x5 by adding a 24" radius mainline to the outside. Should be an exciting project.
