I created the Ackerly Division of the Water Level Route in 2009 (see the many photos on Model Rairoader's photo gallery) and recently donated it to a friend of mine, due to my moving to Florida. I have been an N Scale modeler since 1968 and have had trains since 1948 (Lionel and HO). The Ackerly Division is a fictional point to point layout from Chicago to any City that Chicago served with a double track mainline between cities to simulate the miles traveled between those cities. I ran all of the railroads that traveled to Chicago.  I miss the Ackerly but my new railroad club in West Pasco County, here in Florida is currently building a new large, N Scale, double deck layout.  The club has nearly 50 members and has a large HO layout which is being expanded.  What great time to be a club member...!! I am the newest member and volunteered to be the "Car Standards" Officer.
