Grew up in the suburbs of New York City on the Gladstone Branch of the Erie Lackawanna. It was my first exposure to railroading. Spent 6 years riding the old MU trains from Murray Hill to Summit for school. I loved the wicker back benches. Eventually I started riding NJ transit into Hoboken for the next 25 years of working in NYC.

After spending many years in New Jersey, I moved to Greenville, SC and started my own fee-only financial planning firm called Highball Advisors. We work exclusively with railroad professionals who need advice with retirement.
