David Lester is a railroad journalist based in Atlanta.  After studying Transportation and Logistics at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, he transferred to Georgia State University in Atlanta, and graduated with a degree in Economics.  After careers in retail and healthcare information technology, he became a full-time writer in 2012.  In addition to numerous magazine articles and book reviews, he has contributed to two books focused on the railroad industry and railroad history.
