As a mostly novice model railroader, I am working on a self-designed, DC, 2-cab, 40" x 8' N-gauge layout using Peco code 55 track and turnouts activated by Peco PL-10e point motors, and powered by two Kato Standard SX power packs. My plan is to have a late 20th or early 21st century diorama of Northern California wine country with a 2-car wine train pulled by a small Plymouth diesel, plus a small freight train pulled by a GP-30 diesel. The control panel has 3-position toggles for track blocks, and two push button actuators for each of the point motors along with LED feedback lights. I'm looking for advice, and whatever tips and tricks I can glean from you more experienced model railroaders. Thanks in advance.Update 9/2/2023: My project is currently stalled until I can find a way get sufficient power to my PL-10e point motors to move the turnout tie bars under load.
