Involved in the locomotive building program for Pendon Museum, here in the U.K. For nearly 30 years I modelled the British Great Western Railway as it was in the early years of the last century. However my wife and I visited Canada in 2000 and I fell in love with the railways over there, so much so that I am building a layout based on the Keith Yard about 9 miles west of Calgary as it is 5 years either side of the millenium. Working for Pendon Museum gives little time for self indulgence so this is my first layout and I have decided to use DCC ( Digitrax), The layout will be 29' x 10' with a possible future extension into the garden (not at ground level) giving a run of approx; 210'
