Butte Helper has been a fan of the Milwaukee Road all his life.  During the summer of 1968 he drove spikes on an extra gang working on the old Tacoma Eastern.  He also handed up train orders for a very brief period at Tacoma Junction.  Failing the vision test didn't set well with management.  That ended his short, but interesting, railroad career.
