Currently I serve on active duty in the US Army as tank platoon leader.  Ever since I was a little kid, I have had a love of steam engines - locomotives, tractors, stationary, marine, etc.  Received my mechanical engineering degree from the University of Illinois in 2008.  I enjoy learning the ins & outs of locomotives, crunching numbers on thermodynamics, and the how & why something was designed a certain way.  In a nutshell, I enjoy the technical side of things.
