When the sun would climb high in the sky in the summer months, us kids would climb inside our favorite water tank and swim until we got tired or kicked out. Being friends with the daughter of the Station Agent caused some of the road employees to turn a blind eye to this practice, however a much keener eye when the girls would change in and out of their swimmer gear. As we grew older, it was rumored that a lucky hogger or brakie would often catch the girls "skinny dipping" in the big Wolf river at remote spots on the line.
