How did you name your garden railroad?

We are about a half mile from the confluence of the the North and South brances of the Guadalupe River in the hill country of Texas. Had to call it the Guadalupe Forks RR even though we are doing a Colorado narrow guage. It fits, the hills here are about 1/20 the size of Colorado mountains.

I named my garden rr (read indoor) after an HO layout I built partially. I was going to
name the new rr something else; BUT, one of my sons pulled out an HO car with the
original name and vociferiously stated he didn't want me to change the indoor G rr
name so..... I went with the original name, GOOSE CREEK & WESTERN RR.

The name originally came from a small creek named Goose Creek on the township map. Goose Creek meandered through the farm where I grew up.
I still cross that creek 4 or 5 times weekly.

Good name, and yes Borracho means "drunkard" not "wine-o." It is an important distinction. I, for example, an not a "wine-o." I am a "rum-o."

My Railroad is going to have a special name and story. It is going to be called the "M&N Railroad." "M" is for my daughter, Micaela (of which I plan to name a town after) and "N" is for my wife Norma (of which I will name another town after).

The line is, however, operated by the Denver and Rio Grande (since that is the only engine I will own at its inception) Later I will buy and decorate an engine with that roadname.

The Eastern Goldfields Rrailway got its name from from its location the Eastern Gold fields of West Australia I later found out that this was also the the name of the old narrow gauge main line to the town I live in[:D]
the two foot Numbat Valley Tramway got its name from the an animal nativ to the state
of west Australia

My railroad is the ID&OM(in debt&outta money), my wife always says I spend money on trains, so I used it as a play on words. It gets a lot of laughs.
