More progress. I added air brake pressure and return hoses and operating coupler lift bars.

Its been very slow in general "over thare" ...but it always slows down during the summer.
No replies to a couple of my topics as well...guess its the weather. Everyone is outside, too busy running or building to pay too much attention to the web.
Funny thing is that here and LSC have seen alot more activity lately.
Give it time, things will pick up there.
My beautiful wife was kind enough to measure and cut some windows out of some scrap plastic. I think they turned out great.

About 4 or so years ago same happened to me so I dropped out and took a rest. Now I just don't post any photos or other tips/tricks on different forums. There is one I have liked thou.
But really your own your own when posting anything! You need to be thick skinned!!!!! I learned it hard way.

Ok, here's the driver I chose. It's a 1:22.5 scale dude. He fits real good.

I would suggest this Aristo guy (the one in the middle). Its easy to remove the oil can.
I picked one up for a boxcab diesel project. I also picked up one of the MDC critter detail parts kits SanVal was selling on eBay and this guy fits quite well in the cab once you carefully saw off the base. I also got my motor block from LarryG, he's a nice guy to work with.
That's looking good, Robert. I ordered up one of the flathead V-8's to do a similar critter.
I made a gearbox out of the end of the oil pan since I had to remove it, and made a shifter out of a piece of leftover detail part. I also built a dash and made a throttle. Next I'll make the seat when my driver gets here.
I got the motor today, modified and installed it. I think it came out nice. Cab details next.

Hey, great start, there. Or, nice going. Not sure which but it looks neat.
FWIW, in the early 70s, I repaired a lot of Lionel stuff on our kitchen table while Friend Wife fixed supper. That was 'BC'--before children.

Robert, just do this. When she asks you if you can do the same thing in the house, get a little bit under her feet when she's doing something that she wants to do. That way she'll understand why you need some space. Also remind her how upset she gets if you spill. She'll let you be in your shop, working by yourself.
