Robert,

Do you have a friend/relative/spouse who will work with you? Maybe even someone who isn't a hobbyist, who could give you a fresh look at things, ask questions or give opinions, or maybe start you thinking in a new way.

While I have not gotten to that point with the railroad, I have been there with other hobbies/projects over the years.  Smile [:)]

What I do is set the project aside for a day or week or two and focus on something else (or combination of things) like golf, fishing, a major lawn project....something.

When I get thru with the alternate activity(ies), I don't go back solely to the other project/hobby 100%.  I mix it up..... railroad...golf. railroad, fishing, gardening, railroad,...honeydoo's....Whistling [:-^], railroad, reading, railroad,  travel, hunting, railroad....Cowboy [C):-)]

I just don't submerge myself in one anymore,  which helps keep it from happening again.

Good luck hope this helps.....

Just wondering.....I have an indoor On30 layout as well as my large scale stuff, and neither has struck my fancy in months. I've tried everything I can think of from building details, structures and whatnot, but nothing's worked. How do yall deal with burnout?
It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.
