I would love to get started on a Garden Railroad but would like some advice and get the feel of what it looks like and how to start. I would deffinately like to visit someones railroad. I live a few miles away from Boston, MA. Anyone who lives in MA and would like to show me how to get started and their railway, please let me know! Thanks

Typo, my RR is open to guests/visitors and I live 30 miles south west of Boston.
There is a train show in Foxboro this Sunday the 25th of Feb. (rail a rama), I will attend this show and there may be several other large scalers there.
I will be there before noon, show hours are 10-4 and the fee is $4.
I live only 20 minutes south of this show.

I am only a kid (13) so this is why I am not going to share where I live excactly. I am already into model railroading so this isnt to new. I own a few O gauge trains from Lionel, such as:
The Big Boy(I think made in 2003?)
Daylight
Acela
GG1
And another steam engine but forgot what it was called, it was a Pennsylvania.....and was I heard one of the last steam engines made (in real life)

I think thats it. I have seen a few Garden Railroads on the internet and have asked my parents if they would be willing to help me. They told me we could get started this year but i should meet a few garden railroaders in person before i get started. Thank you guys for you replies. Also, I will see if I can make it to the train show, but I think I will be skiing. Thanks again!
Typo, Why not come and visit mine, you only have to catch a plane to LAX and then another to Brisbane and by car about 100 km north of there, say 10,000 km.
Seriously; if you like i will send you a few photos, my railway is very different to American ones. and most other Australian ones as well.

There will be other shows, spring is comming soon and it would be nice for you to see how a garden RR changes with the dead of winter changing to spring flowers.
Have your parents contact me, I have grandchildren thet really enjoy my RR.
I visited many rr's before I started and got a lot on info and ideas from other rr's.
