Brass lampshades for GoW bulbs?
Posted by Ray Dunakin on Thursday, November 9, 2006 9:43 PM
Does anyone know where I could buy brass lampshades to fit grain of wheat bulbs? I've seen them once a few months ago but now I can't remember where I saw them, and haven't been able to locate them online.

Ozarks Miniatures has complete fixtures with brass lampshades, but they include bulbs that are only good to 3 volts. I don't want to pay for bulbs that I can't use, so I'd rather just get the parts without the bulb.

These would be for exterior lights on structures.

Mine are made from corset fittings.... There is a brass bell shape that is used on the end of the pull strings at the back -this is what I use for lamp shades, Your local haberdashery should have plenty of them. Mine know me well as I am always looking over their collection of "bits" for shapes to use in my modelling.

Have you tried any of the "dollhouse" suppliers?
