The Tuscarora Railroad, a narrow gauge railroad located in south central PA connecting with the East Broad Top RR at Shade Gap and the Tuscarora Valley RR at Blair's Mills.

Complete histories (both fictional and historical) can be found at: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/kcstrong/trr/History/TRRHistory.html

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the pics etc, enjoyed my visit to your site, to coin a phrase: 'size isn't everything'!
Cheers,

I haven't quite settled on a name, but it will be something like "Wailing Toad Express", "Wailing Toad Junction", or something along that line.

Part of my outdoor layout circles around my water gardens. While out working on the layout and/or garden, I often encounter toads. At one point of the layout, the toads dug a hole and live under the track. In the spring time, the area around my pond turns into a Toad Brothel during the evening hours.

I'm also planning on adding a mine to my layout. It will be called the Toadinahole mine (toad-in-a-hole).

My grandad was co-owner of a bunch of Douglas fir timberland and a veneer (plywood) mill in Medford, Oregon, called Elk Lumber. Since I've got a small yard and am obliged to stick with steep grades and tight curves, the lumber theme is a natural fit. So I'm pretending that Elk Lumber got started in the 1920s rather than the 1940s, and used rail rather than roads to haul logs out of the woods. Thus, the Elk Lumber Co. Garden Railway!

I've chosen " Winthrop and Deep River RR", an imaginary NG shortline running between the real world towns of Winthrop, where we live, and Deep River some five miles away.
