I started to get my pond and graden railroad ready , i got the leaves and bushes cleaned up and getting the ballast ready that needs to be filled after . i need to work on one of the bridges and give the track a good cleaning , I must put my buildings out after i spray them with a clear coat . i hope to run a train by next week end , if the weather holds, i'll take some new pictures when the rail road is ready ben[:)]

Chompers, I have not even recieved my land grants yet. I hav the entire plan drawn out, and I have been told the entire upper half of the backyard will be mine, but so far I have seen no contract. I know I will have 2 mainlines, a large yard, radio control, houses, streets, figures, cars, all that nice stuff. I am starting in the summer, but in April I will be going to York, for ECLSTS, with my GRR club. All 3 days, and will have a lot of my stuff with me. You should see if you can come down, ask your parents to take you because I bet you would love it.

Ben was nice enough to inform me more about his bridge.

It has certainly withstood the test of time, since he built it about two years ago.

He informs me that the aluminum is 3/4 in. angle and 3/4 flat aluminum bolted together, with 3/8 in long bolts.

The towers are concreted in place.

I may try my hand at something similar, but will likely use rivets. Gotta try my new toy out on something.

My own RR is Santa Fe in modern era so wood trestle work of the tall elaborate kind is not really appropriate. However, I will probably anyway, make some of my trestlework out of wood as well as “steel” as the whimsical lure is hard to resist.

What do you mean I'm not supposed to answer questions like that?

1. You need some space on a web server somewhere. Almost any will work but some of the free ones don't allow links from other sites like this because that bypasses their ads, and they have to make a living like the rest of us.

2. When you put a picture on your web server, it will have a "url" something like http://gold.mylargescale.com/torby/dcp07030.jpg

3. Put this URL in your message with "image tags" like this:

[*img]http://gold.mylargescale.com/torby/dcp07030.jpg[/*img]

Only leave out the * I put in so it would show you the tags instead of the image.

i'm retired , it took me a while to under stand how to do it , i have a space on MLS , you must be a 1st class member , to get it. you down load your pictures to their and then bring then out to the forum you want to post on, WHO SENDS you the message saying you can't ask, how to post.??? THEIR WERE PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM that helped me . like i said it took me a few months until i learned
and i still have problems posting ben

Posting pictures to the forum is really easy. First you need to have a place on the web to store your pictures so there is a URL for that picture. then when you want to put a picture into a forum type [*IMG]http://www.yourpicture'surl[*/IMG] now when you use those image tags for real leave the * out of them and it will display the picture at the url you point it to.

With having rain for over a week , i started to clean my 38 cars wheels and oiled and greased them, started to do the engines to, I put my little buildings away and want to make 2 to 3 new ones for next year, and repair , what must be repaired on the old ones it's getting to be that time of year . i have taken some new pictures , will post later.
