Wives-god bless 'em
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, May 29, 2005 12:19 PM
Hi guys,
Beautiful day in Blackpool, wall to wall blue and I've been RRing all day. Well, you have to keep out of the way when they're washing and cleaning and cooking and vacuuming and all of the things they do[;)] Snapping away with the camera and caught her sat down drinking MY wine, cheek! So, I thought lets have a post for wifey pics, here she is, our Gail watching the trains.

and this is what she's watching, and listening to now there's a sound board in the C16

Here's too 'em, can't live without them and can hardly live with them, sometimes!
Cheers,
Kim

Alas, mine is spending the day in bed nursing a cold, and if I were to post a photo of that, I would quickly become her ex, if not "dearly departed." [;)] Suffice to say I wouldn't be here without her, though.

Later,

K

Kim,
At one time I did plan on a little track somewhere in that pic. However, there are two ponds, hippos, life size pigs, many other creatures, wild flowers galore, with bulbs popping up all over. I just can't sneak in the track. This is louise's area, I better stay on my side of the track, I mean yard..

Here's my soon-to-be in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She is 100% in support of the garden RR and has quite a few good ideas as well, probably from her job as a school history teacher.

That old wooden trackwork looks to me like track from an old narrow gauge cog railway!

Ian,
Yeah, my wife can come up with some different ideas. It is actually a water fall into a pond that flows into another pond. Then there is a large area where wild flowers, and just about any other flowering plant that will grow. Add several creatures to the mix and this is what you get. It really is quite colorfull and nice when everthing is in bloom. Here is a pic with more flowers blooming.

Stopped questioning my wifes ideas several years ago. They sound strange at first, but, have a way of working out. By the way it is our 11 year anniversary this Saturday.

Hey guys,
It's eleven years for Naomi and I on Saturday, June 4th. Two kids, a dog, and a remodelled back yard later (GRIN) and we are still going! Sure glad she likes the trains too. Later eh...Brian.

We will make it 36 years on the 14th.
Offers encouragement as long as I don`t stand on the plants. Funny thing! HER cats are allowed to.
Off to a society open day in another member`s garden. She has encouraged me to go !
I am told the curves on his track are small,so bang goes my GP9. Have to take the Mack Switcher instead.
Weather pretty grim. No rain yet.
All the best

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the well wishes. Looks like 94' was a good year for Garden RR'ing's future. Her and I both got to work on Saturday. When I arrived at work I found a card from Naomi in my mailbox. In the card she wrote that my coffee at Tim Hortons was paid for already and I just had to pick it up. [tup] Not only that but when I climbed in the semi there was a Chocolate muffin waiting for me! Eat your hearts out guys! It must be love because for her I gave ca***owards "her" hobby. That cash came from from my "train" fund. It's all good since we reap what we sow. Rock on to year #12! Later eh...Brian. [:D]
