But it was not a picture.  Only a link.  The site did not let me copy the picture because:

You must have another picture section on a site where you have permission to make changes in order to copy.

Rex, what I think may have happened:

when you create a share site, make sure it says" anyone with this URL can view"

at least that's my best guess. It's a message about permissions. It must be open to all users. Please check.

This is the famers market.  One side has flowers and hardware.  The other side has produce.

This is my signature helix or what we call the "Troll Garden".  The shay is pulling the log train on the upper deck of this 2 and a half turn helix.  Most of the flowers are annuals so must be planted each year.  This gives me a chance to change the character of the garden each year.  There are all kinds of characters in the garden too - dragons, unicorns, faries, princesses, and of course trolls.  See what you can find.

This truck is a model of my brother-in-law's self loader so we had to have it on our layout.  The helix is in the background as is some of the cribbing.  Lot s of pine needles too I see.  The building above the caboose is a wharehouse and the building further back is a full-scale house.

Rex, LOVE it! The helix is really cool, and it sets off and sets up your fairy garden wonderfully! I keep trying to tell the odd person that inquires out here that a railroad need not have a historical theme to be fun run and challenging to build. No recruits to the hobby yet, but your photos are a another round in the bandolier! Eric

Very nice model!

Scratch building can be a lot of fun! You can get exactly what you need this way, and unique.

I like it!

Thanks Paul,

We had to leave the mountains/RR early this year - my wife had to have shoulder replaced.  We brought all the houses in and turned off the irrigation as it freezes pretty hard up there.  It was a little early to turn off the water so may not have any plants for next year.  Anyone know how long evergreens will last without water?  Our forest was doing so well.

Rex,

Sorry to hear about the change in plans due to life circumstances.  I hope your wife's surgery went well and that she is on the road to recovery.

I wish I could offer some thoughts on your forest.  We cannot grow evergreens, but, if our rosemary serves as a rough analog, it can take some real abuse and still come back.

Wife's surgery went well.  Thanks for asking.  This is her left shoulder this time.  She had the right one done last December.  Unlike knee and rotator cup operations the replacement takes a long time to recover from.  She has to wait 7 weeks before getting out of the sling and into PT.  She is my chief roofer so unfortunately no shingles for another year.

This year I'm planning a major water feature instead of a building to add to our layout.  I'll be putting the plans together and acquiring pumps, pipes, and other building materials but can't start building until we go back up to the mountains next May.
