I'm thinking about getting a air wire T5000 Throttle.  What are the Pros and Cons with this product?  Those of you that have one, Is it easy to set up?  What i've read on the throttle, the built in antenna has a small range.  I want to sit back and watch my trains run and not be on top of them to stop them.  In some areas of my layout I have 60 feet between me and the train thats running.  If something happens and I need to stop it, I don't wand to run over there to stop it before  it hits something I need to stop it right away.  I could use some info.

You'll like the newT5000 throttle over the T9000. The transmission power is adjustable from 1 to 10, the default setting is 5, which is comparable to the T9000. You'll also like the fact that the frequency is in memory by Loco number. No need to remember the frequency assigned to a Loco.

I have an original RF1300 throttle, one of the new T5000 throttles, and an NCE Gwire Throttle.  The power output of the T5000 is adjustable, and has better range than either of the other two throttles.  Using the higher power shortens battery life, though.  

The biggest advantage to the newer T5000 is all the additional features that have been added to the firmware, such as Ops Mode programming, consisting, the adjustable power output, no external antenna, a vernier throttle knob, and its small size.
