I did not realise that fathers day in the northern hemisphere was in June, it must be as our bretheren on both sides of the Atlantic agree that fathers day has just passed. Fathers day here in the Southern hemisphere at least here in Aussieland, is the first Sunday in September, so to be fair and reasonable to all why don't we start a movement to have both days celebrated. My Dad was a sailor, not a railroad fan. Here is the cake for him today picturing his sailboat while racing (old Cruising Club class D) on San Francisco Bay in the early 1960s. He's the one standing, and I'm crouching near the hatch, keeping an eye on the photographing boat. Those were the days when the Northwestern Pacific still operated its ferry pier in Tiburon.
Happy Father's Day to all you Dads!
