Has anyone made Christmas seens for their Garden Railway?

Last weekend we went to an open house that had some Christmas decorations on their layout. Miniature colored lights on buildings, tiny Christmas trees, etc. And last year we saw one that was even more elaborately decorated, with more mini lights and even white flannel "snow" on and around the buildings.
