Here are 4 K-Line club engines. Three of the four were defective. Mine was the only one that ran out of the box. Now after two EOB drop in boards and an adjustment on a sound board they all run good.

Raymans, Thanks for the heads-up! I found the model A for sale through diecastdirect.com for $34.95. But it is temporarily out of stock.Sign - Oops [#oops] Ya still did good for 50.00. Some of the Matchbox Harley trucks I missed out on ran that much. Thanks to Spankybird for helping me locate them as well!!!

I grew up in Athens Ohio, but would always go over to Marietta to the Sternwheeler festival with my family.  There was a kid there for a couple of years that always had this little paddleboat made out of popcicle sticks.  The paddlewheel was powerered with a little battery powered motor, and it would paddle out from shore for a while, then he would pull it back in with a string tied to it.  I thought that was the coolest thing.  That was a long time ago...

Better to beg forgiveness after the fact as I pirate this photo of ray's with those great Lehigh Valley Hoppers in the background:

That car was worth every nickel.

Jon it is Minichamps that I found on Amazon.com but they show none left at this time.

It is a very nice well detailed model I think was around $50

I hope this is a sign of what we may expect in the future.

and by the way your stockcar weathering looks great.

I have an Aztec airbrush and Badger compressor, but have not had the courage to try weathering as yet. The more I see here the more I want to try it.

Frank,

I recently started focusing my postwar attention to later 50's early 60's. Lots of fun stuff - love the submarine car - I'm really starting to appriciate the AAR trucks as well(quiet and smooth). Look forward to some future posts!

Frank, the hobo must have had a good lead at one time. He had time to put a fresh set of clothes on.

hirailjon, the weathered stock car looks great. As does everything else in the pic.
