hopper set, scale size or traditional small size
Posted by vbkostur on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 10:08 AM

i am still getting used to the difference between lionel's traditional size and scale size.

i found a hopper set on e-bay lionel 6-17147.

i beleive it is fromthe 1999 cat.

does anyone know if this is the traditional size or the larger scale size.

thanks for all the help!

That is a Chesapeake & Ohio 48' Three-Bay Open-Top Hopper 6-Pack you have referenced.

Those are Standard O Scale Open-Top Hoppers.

They have Die-Cast Trucks.

You will need either a heavy Steam Locomotive or a Dual-Motor Diesel-Electric Locomotive to pull them.
