Morning All - Nice photos Tom

Here are some photos of the haul from York

The Broom Closet and Dustpan Railway a subdivision of the Western Maryland acquired some new equipment (at least new to the BC&D)

A new MOW Ballast Tamper

A new Box Truck decorated for CTT

And a slightly used Gantry Crane purchased from the break-up of the NYC.

The NYC Gantry Crane came with some coil covers that will help protect cargo in the NYC Gondola that has been a part of the BC&D roster for a few years now.

Have a great day.

The paint scheme was awesome!  Hopefully I can post some pics of the York haul later...

You'd think that someone would come out with a set of (GP15's ?) in G&W paint.  I agree, it's a neat paint scheme.

Brent - Thanks for the great pictures of York - Did you by chance leave out a name after Marty?   And just why was Roy pushed out to the side?  ....just cause he's a suthern sympathizer?

Looks like all had a great time!

JaspersRock - those Genessee & Wyoming GP16's are now part of Yorkrail, which apparently is in no hurry to repaint them in their black & yellow livery.  Pics turned out nice Brent.

Yep - they were close to me until the photo was snapped - guess I smelled like GRITS?

And yes - that is John (jefelectric) next to mitch.

John, Don, and I had a great time roaming the halls. John and I would stroll along admiring and discussing various pre- and post-war pieces while Don scurried around looking for certain modern pieces. Sometimes I think Don looped us a couple of times. We were always able to regroup for soda and coffees next to the Purple Hall.

Regards, Roy

Ran these two together around the layout tonite - about 100 laps running in tandem on the upper and lower levels. After I powered it down you could smell the ozone pretty much through teh whole house. I think the dogs are still high:

Six days ago, Julia was on an operating table. Today she heads back to school. We had a great spring weekend together at the library, the playground, and playing soccer in our yard. The weather was warm and pleasant. But the warmth I felt was knowing my little girl made it through ok.

  1. I didn't know about your daughter, glad to hear she is ok.
  2. Not sure what you are referring to, the thin good looking guy is on the RIGHT.

Frank, The thin good looking guy in the blue shirt is me! The other guy is some traveling grits salesman from the south...notice the vacant look in his eyes.

Fife, Pete and Repeat are my twin boys. They've been known to duct tape a babysitter or two to a chair, and start a fire underneath. All the time whooping it up like indians! Julia does a great job of keeping them in line. 3 good kids!
