Hi Chief, regarding the latest alarm in England it doesn't seem a good idea to ship a bag of funny yellow stuff down to europe.. But polenta is very familiar to me, with cheese, unions and tomatoes out of the oven.

This entire thread is pure cornpone!
I think the ghost of Orville Redenbacher originated this topic, just to sell more of his popcorn!
And for those of you who want your very own SPAM museum for your layout (I know it's not a large corn on the cob water tower)....
Here it is!
Available at:

Minnesota also has the SPAM museum.
A building of that would be a fun addition to any toy train layout.

Hey! Those Southerners are resourceful! They get grits and something to clean up after with from the same thing!
Laz they are used in 3's you use a red cobb than a white cobb to see if you need another red one
Underworld,
It was an artistic statement about the farmers who supported the country and it is caled feild of corn with orange ossage trees. The trees were a common site way back when used to mark the bounderies of farmers fields and of course the have a row of these trees at one end of the feild and there are some stone markers in the ground explaining the work of "art". I will have to dig up the pic of me standing next to one of the ears of corn. I am 6'4"ish and they are every bit as tall as me. About as silly as Columbus paying for Brush strokes in flight
Well the Sears catalog had to be replaced somehow!
