tyco pricing
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 29, 2007 5:48 AM
I resently had a house fire and need some help with pricing.I had two tyco train sets from when I was a boy back in the 1970's. I had a super road & rail #9000 I kept it in the origanel boxes when I was not playing with it. I also had a golden eagle #7328 That I also kept in the boxes when I was not playing with it. Is there any one that can help me with the prices? everyone I have e-mailed has not replied or has told me they are not worth anything.please help

Highley:Sign - Welcome [#welcome]Probably, sadly they are correct. I would try checking "E-Bay" to get an idea of the prices asked for the Tyco items. Also, since this forum generally talks about 3-rail stuff, you might want to try asking on the CTT other forum 'General Discussion -Model Railroader'. All the best.

There is no established collector's market for Tyco trains like there is for Lionel and American Flyer.  As a result there are no price guides to reference.  Many of these were not as well made as what is on the market today and thus there is little interest or demand for them. As above, Ebay is the only way you will get any idea of what their current value is.

Good luck
