Have asked several questions ........ received all valuable and useful answers.

Recently, found the 'Search' mode here on this site.  A wealth of information is available.

Recently completed my first setup (for the time being), a 4' x 8' free standing table (already out of room).  Yes, I  experienced a ton of problems getting started.

The train a Christmas present from my son, wife contributed a Victorian Village, and the grandchildren ..... cars and trucks. 

Thanks for all of your help and patience to get me started in the hobby!!!

I've been here going on a couple of years now and you will find a wealth of information and experience here.  You will also find acceptance of where you are at in regards to the hobby.  I've participated in other forums where there were some farily abrasive folks, and I can easily say the folks here are really nice.  Welcome to the forum.
