My wife got a book on the Durango & Silverton, an O Gauge Primer, and the On30 Annual (2006).
I got an early #045 Gateman in VG condition (for my Standard Gague Layout), an Atlas bridge expander kit (from which I will 'bash two girder bridges), the Hallmark UP ornaments for this year, and the funds necessary to build new shelves for my Standard Gauge trains.
The boys got a Polar Express to share and the diner and baggage to add to it. The older boy got a BNSF LEGO engine, and the younger one got Harold for his Duplo Thomas sets.
Santa brought me:
- PE Baggage Car - PE Diner Car - PE Hot Chocolate Car
and a trip to he NY Botanical Gardens Train Show next week.
I also picked up a few Subway sets myself!
I got what I wanted, which unfortunately wasn't train related.
A Canon F-1N camera with AE finder FN and AE motor drive FN. This is one solid tank of a camera, quite unlike anything I've ever used before. I've not yet weighed it, but I'd put it at around 4 pounds for the camera, motor drive, and the 12 AA batteries that allow it to shoot at 5 frames per second. It's certainly not one of these newfangled featherweight pieces of junk that they try to pass off as cameras. I always thought my T90 was a heavy camera, but it's extremely light in comparison.
To 88 - are you dumping your BN/GN stuff because you can stop by Bayview and see "pumpkins" on a daily basis.
To RR REddddd - don't shoot your eye out kid.
To jabaat - remember, the rose goes in the front...
Santa left me a Great Lionel Layouts DVD, Woodland Scenics trees, an O gauge telephone booth, and a 3 year extension on my CTT substriction! Yay!
I just got my fist of megasteam a week ago, and i must say, i love it... the holiday berry and candy cane scents are pretty good. I think ill be putting in an order for the hot chocolate soon. For some reason, i found that to get good smoke, i had to add more fluid than i normaly did with the lionel stuff... Maybe because its thinner?? i dont know, but i ended up using about a half dropper full per refill, and now it smokes like crazy.... even one of my locos that i thought had a bum smoke unit is putting out crazy amounts of smoke.
as for xmas,
from the soon to be wife i got some stuff i picked out at a show...
my first scale rolling stock, a lionel PRR scale double door boxcar
a kline PRR tank car,
and as a suprise, she got me a cool 0-27 PRR yellow lighted transfer caboose.... really cool and adds some more eye candy under the tree... loving it all!
Santa brought me a Lionel dockside switcher ( U.S. STEEL ) and some rolling stock. I guess I've been good this year.

Sharing is great, BUT there are some things that don't need to be shared!
We visited a home on Christmas Eve that had a train running and smoking. The smoke fluid was Protosmoke scented in some holiday berry. My wife loved the smell of it. I've bought Megasteam and was not happy with the smoke output or the scent. My wife said it smelled the same as Lionel's smoke fluid, even though it was supposed to smell like cedar.

Passenger cars arrive in March, JIT for my b-day!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Santa works in mysterious ways. I received a B&O GP9 (with torpedos/RAILKING), and my boy added a BNSF GP38-2 (RAILKING) to his empire. But my dear mother showed up this evening with a winter scene of kids building a snowman (unknown make from a local five & dime). It fit right into a crescent shaped bare spot in my town of Meyersdale that is front and center on my layout. Not a homerun, but definitely a run-scoring ground-rule double.
WHO KNEW? Thanks, Mom.
He sure was, but not half as good as he was to my daughter. I got the Candy Cane Single Dome Tank Car, and the Gondola with Trees and Presents for my North Pole Central set, along with a few pieces of FasTrack to expand my set.
As for train stuff for my daughter, she got a couple more Thomas and Friends cars.

I was just wondering if everyone got any good train stuff for Christmas? I got the Lionel Penn State boxcar, the Lionel FasTrack Elevated Trestle Set, and the Lionel Truss Bridge. Looks like I can start redoing my layout tomorrow. Merry Christmas.
