John, you are staging drag races in front of the diner. Memories?????

I thought he was showing what are the risks and consequences when you street race.

I haven't had much time with the trains over the last six months, and haven't been checking the forum for a while. You can imagine my shock -- SHOCK! -- to learn that the Chief is building a train table.

Next you're going to tell me that the Democrats control Congress.

A couple of pics of our Temporary Layout.  Just to get us through the season, actual work to start after Christmas.

We've had a lot a fun with it, and currently testing and doing maintenance on stuff that hasn't been out of the box in 15 years.

Wow! What a collection of great pictures and videos. Frank your layout is just plain cool keep posting. Jeff, the dollhouse is unreal what a beautiful piece of work. SMK, your Christmas layout is first rate, where do you live here in AK? Congratulation on the muesum turnout what a blast! The drive in is great! I always enjoy going to the drag races, it is great to see some video clips.

Here are two pictures from our layout (posted from another thread on thje forum). A geologic disruption is predicted for this layout later in the week! These are the before pictures.

Until next Sunday- Regards

Great Photo's all! Specially the beautifull dollhouse and the Lionel Factory!! Great.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the video's and on the youtube site I also got 2 other video's to click about the Lionel trains. A shay movie and a lionel Polar express movie.. Fantastic!

And I don't know what has gone into the Chiefs mind, but he's going like a train with his layout! Keep up the good work Chief!

thank you for the kind comments. I managed to paint teh parking lot and get down some Sculpt-A-Mold to fill in graded areas. Not sure how well this stuff is working, as it's pretty clumpy. Luckily, the ground covers will conceal it, but if anyone has any suggestions for working with this stuff, I would appreciate a pointer.

Frank53 - your layout is just plain cool!!!  I love watching it evolve as you post pix.  That Lionel factory is something else too.

You truly show people that you don't need a giant room to make a layout.  Great job.

Some video of my layout in action taken by my son. Still no accessories wired yet but trains have been running for a while. I need to free some time up and get back to this.

Tom, Nice pictures of the musuem, looks like you had a great turnout.

Chuck, Looks like the weather was Polar to match the train ride.

Colin, Great pictures form Reading, was that your club layout?  I don't see many people, did you take the pictures before it opened to the public?

All very nice pictures today.

After working on a dollhouse for one of my granddaughters for the past few months, I actually did a little layout work.  Finished my meter & fuse panel & did some under layout rewiring.  I promised the Coffee Pot guys to post pics of the dollhouse so here goes.

A few shots of my meter panel.

FRONT VIEW      I toned down the pilot lights after the pic was taken by changing the lamps to 24 volt lamps.

WHAT MAKES IT ALL WORK.

Finally have the trains running.  Not switching, nor operating cool accessories, but running.  My wife took the little one shopping so I can cut some holes to light the buildings.

This week's progress:

the concrete finally got around to pouring the parking lot at GW Dunn & Sons. Sloppy job too.

The Department of Forestry must have been on strike, as they accomplished almost nothing.

Building the last flat for the top level out of illustration board.

Doing the final installation of the backdrops, regluing and spraying these with Matte finish to reduce the glare.

business is booming at Lionel.

Hello everyone,

I got back from the show last night, so here are some pix I got from it. I also met a fellow forum member, Joe Homann, at the show. I have pix of his drive in theater.

Here is Joe's theater.
