Question on ship date for TMCC II Command Set?

Hello everyone,

I am interested in using TMCC for my Christmas layout this year, so I can lash up my new F3 engine and powered B unit.  I have preordered TMCC II Legacy Command Set from Island Trains but was told it would not ship until November at best.  Has anyone heard when Lionel is shipping this set?  I figure I might as well as buy the new set since I do not have first but would hate not to have it by Christmas.

P.S. I am using a modified version of the 9x5 fastrack layout that was in CTT October issue for the my Christmas layout, it was far better than my first idea.  Thanks CTT.

Well if everything is working as planed for Lionel their delivery is due for October 2006...Since Lionel get /ship their new item by the end of the month they should be in store by November 06. But delay can happen, specially with a brand new control system. On the other hand Lionel is pretty good at keeping their shipping schedule on time...They sure would hate missing the Christmas season with this one.
