I have just purchased this train at a garage sale. Can anyone tell me about it?
What is the value of the train now. This train set is in the original box with the plastic covering over the train set. The name of the train is GreatLand Holiday Express Train. 1996 edition. It runs on 6 c cell batteries.Locomotive with 2cars and caboose,with 18 feet of track. The man I bought it from was original owner.All info appreciated. Lyle58

Hello Lyle58! & [#welcome] to the forum! Hate to disappoint you. I doubt that your train is worth much. Probably just a few dollars as you said it is a Battery Operated Train which means that it is plastic & has plastic track also. Just use it under your Christmas Tree as that is it's purpose anyhow.
