HALP! or, Return Loops and Trolleys: Well, the concept's good, anyway...

...but the execution, well...

Okay, I constructed a u-shaped dogbone, and the car WOULD work smoothly, except that I have a bad case of bad switch motors. The RH 1122 works, but reluctantly, and needed a set of sensor tracks to even have a hope of working in time. (one nice thing about buying track cheap on eBay: Lotsa donor pieces for the rail insulators.) The LH 5121 snaps to, but only in one direction (which indicates a bad coil).

Tried a Marx 027 remote with blown coils, but, alas, the MTH bump and go trolley is too light to pu***he points and simply derails.

Anyone got some working powered 027 switches they don't want? [:D]

Alternately, can the switches be re-coiled cheaply?

Thanks!

VTY,
