Love the photos as usual. Those wood burners really smoke up the place. Cough, cough, cough.... [:D]

One more for the road!

The crew of the Pennsy T-1 look down the tracks to see what the hold up is. Perhaps Kodi is causing some trouble...nah not Kodi!

You do nice work Marty!!

My progress this week includes:

A loading dock for the big factory:

Finishing up, lighting and weathering the garage/shack for the dead end at Brace Avenue:

it started life as a piece of illustration board folded up:

Received my new (to me) post war passenger cars:

got started on the two corner building at the end of Brace Avenue:

and picked up a couple of new building fronts, including City Litho Company:

I have a different spot picked out for it, and I have to pretty much destroy it to repaint it and weather it. Also need to build a loading dock that will extend out to teh tracks.

I'll second that Marty. WIth all the work Walt puts in to creating a new layout every Christmas, and then taking it down, he's got to be one of teh hardest working guys in the train hobby.

Good afternoon,

Good pictures as usual.

Frank, you certainly make a lot of progress each week. I have one of those City Litho buildings. Modified mine somewhat. Will post when I have the group of three buildings that it is in complete.

Today I am posting the first of the businesses on my layout named for a grandchild.

Kaitlyn's Styling Salon, It looks like business is pretty good as they have to wait on the porch. At 13 she has her heart set on a Miata, but on my layout set in the 50's she has to settle for a 1938 Jag SS100.

The rear view has a few customers setting on the porch also. This is where the train lovers set to watch the yard action.

It needs a little landscaping and the interior lighting wired, otherwise this one is finished.

I've been waiting to have something to post. It's not much, but here we go...

This one even has a shot of the budding control panel with little hands eagerly awaiting the day...

Thomas is waiting too...

Nice shots fellas. Trainmans2, how did you make your grass? Turf sprinkled on foamboard or plywood?

nice work guys. Pretty dramatic, Marty!

Was visiting folks in NY over weekend so no progress on layout so here’s progress on my buddy’s layout. He used to do N scale so that’s the reason for all the detailing.

It looks even more sweet in hi-resolution. Email me if you want a better res.

That's Turf Sprinkled on 1in blue foam board. It was actually my first time ever using store bought landscaping materals. I think it came out great!

To Trainmans2: Another question (If I may be so bold) What did you use to make the street? Many thanks. To all others, "Great Photos"

Dave,
Your Buddy's layout looks fantastic! Top notch stuff. The water could use some work though.
Thanks for posting those.

The street are ready made from Scenic Express.

http://www.sceneryexpress.com/products.asp?dept=1153

They come in a 3 ft section you can cut with a utility knife. They sell all sorts of different streets.

I'm still waiting on my 90Deg curves to come in so I can fin***he streets.

Mike,

Agree. The water needs to be more green and scummy. Should I break it to him? I think I will![:D]

Here's some photos from my Switzerland trip. Don't think they've been used yet.

Ooops, they may have been used. Sorry. Had them in a Word file.
