I believe it is the ability to take your remote to anothers layout and have them copy their remote settings into yours so that you can operate their layout. I've been saying that this needs to be done for years and without the help of a PC. The only thing the a PC should be used for in a cloning situation is to save your own layout settings before you leave home. After that IMO it should be remote to remote.
