#60 trolley clean-up

Just received an old lionel trolley (purchased on e-bay) and it could use a good cleaning. Any suggestions as to procedures and things to look out for would be helpful. I've posted before on this forum (cleaning up an old milk delivery car) which was very helpful. Thanks in advance , its always interesting to read the forum.

I would start with a careful dusting and inspection to judge if you would need to clean or to restore. Do you see any rust spots, dents? If not, you are lucky. In the most ideal situation you could only have to remove dust and excess lubricant. Does it run good? Do the lights work? Can you show us a picture?

In respons, the light works fine, it runs sluggish, which is why I think a good cleaning is all it needs. The reversing mechanism works fine if somewhat slow ( I suspect because it is not going fast enough to pu***he bumber, and the trolley lead turns as well.
