Just wanted to say hello. Been lurking since Christmas when Mr Eagles sent my grandson a Thomas set. Went right out and got the Thomas add-on pack. Set up on the dining room table and all was fine until I got thrown out to the sunroom so we could eat Christmas dinner. I was dead set on not getting crazy and set up a small 4x6 for Thomas and my Polar Express....ohhh...did I forget to mention I got myself a Polar Express set for Christmas?? The 4x6 lasted exactly one day before growing to 5x8. I've been able to hold it there...for now. So far I've resisted temptation and have only picked up just a couple of more things.....more track, an RS11, a couple of boxcars, a couple more boxcars, 4 auto transports, a couple more boxcars, three cabooses, a Williams Santa Fe F7 ABA and a Williams Santa Fe GP w/ dummy, a couple more boxcars, a couple more boxcars, a couple more boxcars and some more track.
As long as I can continue resisting temptation at this rate I'm pretty sure I can keep from becoming "one of you"!! [:(] [:)][:)]

I've enjoyed reading your stuff and have learned a lot from Y'all. Thanks!!

He's got to do that modified "L" that was in CTT. More of a "V". Also notice that it was all for his Grandson [my Great Nephew, since Pops and I have adopted each other as brothers]. Now look who keeps buying more. As Aydan gets older, I can see a train building going up out back. He can afford it. Owns the greatest restaurant in Kerrville. Best catfish and cobbler in the world.

If you want to add one to your Grandson's Thomas set, Lionel has a Percy engine.
And this year they introduced a James engine as well as another expansion pack with different cars.

O gauge trains are addicting like ciggarettes, but they are safer and they won't kill you, unless you see a real train, get to excited, and step out in front of it. Stick with the trains.

Welcome aboard, Mark! I got started with toy trains the exact same way. I bought my kids a Thomas and a NYC Flyer set for Christmas. Funny thing was, I didn't have any interest in them at all. I just thought the kids would like toy trains. I'm hooked. Addicted is a better description. Like some unquenchable thirst, I always want more. I'd love to hear about those William's F7's. Do you like them? How's the horn sound?

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the resistance club! My son got a Lionel Santa Fe Fast Freight set from Santa. Well Santa got a little carried away and brought a fastrack expansion pack, log loader, operating egg nog car and a covered bridge oh and a 2005 holiday car!
We had it set up on christmas day in the lobby of our hotel, great fun
was had by all.
Sounds good except we were on holiday in Florida and were going on a
two week Princess cruise. So do we have the most traveled set? We
live in the UK it came home British Airways. ( They did not charge us
for the excess baggage as Charlie said it was from Santa!)

We have been told we can't expand till I build the garage/games room[:(]
