Why no Acela craze on this site????

While the Acela really doesn't fit the Classic Toy Train definition it certainly is noteworthy. If I was into modern equipment I'm sure I wouldn't be satisfied until I owned one. It surely is one of the most mechanically sophisticated offerings out there these days...and the detail is absolutely stunning!

Maybe because alot of us werent able to get the set (especially the cost)?? Its a really nice set though, but there were such a limited production and the cost was prohibitive for many.

I think we're a little more laid-back over here. There were a couple of threads last week about the Acela, but they have long since faded. That's why I like it here; topics generally don't get beaten to death over and over again. Unless, of course, somebody starts a Lionel vs. MTH thread! [:0]

If I am correct, a member here has it. He had pics of it on his home layout. Go to Sunday Photo Fun, the will be on there.

Some of the other boards are going wacko for this train. Considering it's cost, there must be a lot of rich people around.
