Do you think I should put some plywood between the tracks and the brackets or just go stick with this more bare bones look?

Stick with the bare look. It is very unique. One of a kind. Where is the floor?

I like it & if you expand, I think it should go through every room in the house ! The wife can just throw a new tube of tooth paste in an empty gon if you run out !! [:D] Thanks, John
