MS Train Simulator for $9.95

at Wal-Mart last night. Pretty big program w/2 CDs. Loaded it on my new laptop but you simply can't just go in there and start running trains. You've actually got to read the locom engin handbook to see how it's really done.

Graphics on the demo program were a lot better than I recall stuff 10 years ago, but IMO still have much to be desired.

Perhaps I'll find some application for toy trains with the software????? Sort of looks like a model train when you're viewing it.

Anyway, $10 ain't bad.

If this topic has already been discussed apologize but used "simulator" as key search word for subject line and came up zero

I don't believe the MS Train Simulator deal at Wally World was discussed on this forum. I recall it was discussed on another toy train forum a month or so ago.

I, too, figured for $10 it was a deal. I've only tried it out a few times since I bought it. Seems that spending time on my layout and other things has taken precedence over time spent on the simulator.
