Can anyone tell me where I can purchase miniture christmas tree lights for an O gauge layout. I plan to put them on pine trees and buildings. Can't seem to locate a source. Thanks !!!!

I bought a bunch of these at a doll house shop that was going out of business. I don't have them handy, but I seem to recall there are about ten lights to a string.

Look for Lemax Christmas Village products at your local craft store. They offer strings of LED lights for miniature Christmas lights.

For example - "Set of 36 Chasing Mini Lights Clear" 94398

Yes, Lemax lights are in the stores now. I use them on the large "town Xmas tree" and on some building exeriors. Only "problem" is the battery boxes, which need to be used even if you use the A.C. adapter. I hide mine in back of structures with the AC wires up through the layout base. The lights are still working after 18 years! Be aware that the "clear" light strings actually give off a yellow cast. Get the AC adapter that has 4 feeder lines so you can add-on later. Another great item is the Lemax fence with lights. All Lemax items are low cost for the quality you get, so it does'nt make sense, to me, to wait for "after holiday" sales. Joe

Try WalMart now. I was in the one near me last week (Sept 7) and they already had the Christmas stuff out on sale! Pretty soon, they won't even bother to put it away. Just leave it out all year round. On 12/26, you'll see this sign - "Only 365 shopping days left!"
