Batmobiles at Wal-Mart !
Posted by Dr.Fu-Manchu on Friday, September 2, 2005 2:51 AM
The Doctor is In !!! I was shopping at the new Wal-Mart in Oakland, Ca. I was
looking for cars for my basement pike and I found a bunch of Batmobiles!!!
Corgi is selling a series of DC comics Batmobiles, I bought a "1960's DC comics Batmobile" They were also offering (from what I saw) a 1950's, 70's 80's and a 90's model. I think there might may be a 30's and 40's model also
but did not see them. They come with a batman figure(no robin) in the car and each car has an "Action feature" . The one I bought has a chain cutter like the one they put for the t.v. show. They are 1:43 scale which is good. They also have two web sites: www.corgiclassics.com and www.corgi-usa.com Hope this helps of you looking for something different ! Till My Next Missive, I Remain The Humble Yet Strangly Evil Doctor !!![}:)] P. S. for all Nor. Cal. Members: I am going to the Great American Train Show in San Jose, I hope to see you folk from the Bay Area there. I am going to either sat or sun(depending on gun show at the Cow Palace) [}:)]

Holy Moley, Batman! Thanks for the lowdown on the Batmobiles, Dr.

WalMart is a great place to purchase 1/43 vehicles. They are plentiful and very resonably priced. I bought a bunch of 1940's/50's era cars and trucks for $1.99 each.

I assumed everybody already knew about them.
I got the 1940 version almost a year ago.
The local WM has several versions, but
this is the one I remember..

I am blaming the mediocre pics on a new camera that is smarter than I am.
