I'm Back!
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, May 28, 2005 8:07 PM
Guys, and Gals,

I'm back on the forums.... I've been off awhile doing other things. When I left, I was looking for a job. Well, now, I have two [;)] One at a foundry doing sandblasting which is for the summer and weekends at a bagel shop.

Got some new trains too.

Hope I'm still welcomed here....

Congratulations on the summer job and welcome back!
If you're doing sand blasting in a foundry, you've earned those trains. [bow] I got my start in working in a weld shop adjacent to a foundry.

RAK,

What do you mean I cant sandblast the bagels?! No one like the great "sandbagel" ?[;)][}:)]

The TAMR, which I am Northest Repisentive of, is now DCS demo group for MTH!

Cheif, I know, I know.... shes expensive too!

The trains are taking a backseat to the car, which most of the monet will go to, remember horsepower costs money.

Chris:
Maybe you can parlay that sandblasting job into some extra dollars. There are a lot of toy train/tinplate guys who need things, like cowcatchers, engine frames, building parts, car bodies and accessories, sandblasted.

Sandblasting is far too harsh for trains but glass bead blasting works well from personal experience.

I'm sure if Chris brought in a train part for cleaning the experienced guys would know what machine to do it on.

Glass Beading: Glass beading is simply sandblasting using tiny glass beads as the abrasive media.

Chris,

Welcome back (any time). Ensure quality control of the bagels by occasional sampling!
