No sound from TMCC engine
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, March 19, 2005 8:39 PM
Hello, I am not sure (or I could be in denial) but I think I have a cooked sound board on one of my TMCC engines. Everything else works {ie} direction, direction light& strobe on /off, electro couplers. But no bell, horn, diesel motor sound. Who ever can give me the answer? Well I can take it , I'll just curl into the fetal position and grab my blanky.

Does the engine have a battery in it? If so did you do a Shut Down? If this is the case you need to start the sounds by Aux1 +3 to get them on again. Also if this is not the case, exercise the volume pot on the engine. Sometimes they develop dead spots and just a little movement will get it going again.

Try a basic reset with the CAB-1, ENG, #, AUX 1, 0, if this doesn't work try reprograming per the instructions. If your instructions don't give the procedure try the Lionel [www.lionel.com/ForThe Hobbyist/GeneralTips AndFAQs/reprogamminglcru2.cfm] or TAS web sites for the method and codes. I've had this happen where I lost some of the sounds and this worked.

[:D] Thanks for the information gentleman It works again. I was sweating it out thinking it would have to go for repair.
