Morning all.

Figured better start a new pot, the other one was getting old.

DR. appointment today. My equal liberalism has been messing with me for over a week.

Train wise not much going on.

TGIF all hope all have a good weekend.

Morning.

Thinking of getting some MTH Realtrax to replace my Lionel fastrack on the setup in the garage. Other than that, not much else, train wise.

Nothing much else to report. Have a good weekend!

Not sure anymore, but MTH realtrax use to have problems with switches. Have you ever thought about Gargraves and Ross switches

I don't have any switches, it's just a loop of fastrack on the table in the garage...Gargraves I haven't thought about.

Took my time with this reply...Laugh

Wayside - MTH trackage has the space advantage over Fastrack, especially on a small layout. And I've used the MTH switches without issues. Is that why you are making the track change?

BTW - the constant pop-up ads have totally ruined my enjoyment on this site.

Fifedog:

I'm actually making the change because after years of use, the Fastrack has finally decided to act up with connectivity issues no matter what I do, and after thinking about it, rather than get new fastrack, I decided to go with the MTH Realtrax. (Don't have any switches, just a single loop)

Yep, Too much for me as well Fife, but someone has to pay the freight. Last thing I want to look at is some ugly persons crotch. This site has been bad ever since the last UPGRADE, years now ago. Laugh First the site is not secure and now the Pop Ups. Other than that, Hi everyone, We have been fine but not a lot of train stuff. maybe as soon as the snow hits if it does.

Later, maybe.

I guess I'm lucky as I don't get them, but again could be because I use duckduckgo and it blocks pop-ups I believe

Hi there, everyone.

The Realtrax and lock-on have arrived, and I have the loop of Realtrax assembled and well...I might need a new transformer for the lock-on (unless I can get my CW-80 to hook to it, it's the newer CW-80)

I can "kinda-sorta" live with the pop-ups except for the fact they seem to be slowing down the loading of the site's content. I realize something's got to pay the bills for the site and as long as the adds are off to the side I can live with them but the S-L-O-W loading is annoying!

I can't figure out the "site not secure" either.  Kalmbachs got an "https" website address which means it's secure but the initial log-on says "not secure."  Go figure.

Their main site is secure, the Forum part is not and they have known for years.

This is not what I care to be exposed to. Do they even have a clue?????

The thing that bugs me most about the situation is that I was chasing a short on the standard gauge line that I still have no idea what caused it.  It's fixed but how a track clip that wasn't touching the center rail could cause a short makes no sense.  Hmm

Yikes!  Almost happened to me once but I was able to go into anti-booby trap mode and back out of it!

Mornin' guys and gals. Sunny and 40 in the Potomac Highlands. Gonna work the back 40 today, blowing the leaves down the mountain (to my neighbors), as tomorrow may be soggy.

Big news in Fifedom, as my local NRHS chapter elected me VP. Even though I ran unopposed, I asked for a recount.

Also, got a nice new Hisense mini BeerBeerBeer fridge for the bar. It will help me "Stay Frosty", as Laz would say. Laugh

The Fifelings have been asking what Dad wants for Christmas"?  I forsee a lot of blue and yellow in my stocking. CO-CO-CO!
