Here's my contribution: I call 'em the mini-Marxes Smile, Wink & Grin

'Cause they're all decorated just like matching Marx E7s in O gauge! Can you believe I still don't own a single Marx E7? Maybe at the next show I attend...

Those RI units are a lot of fun... one of the added thrills of these Marx engines is that like many an O gauge loco, they're growlers! The A is powered, and the B is a dummy- I have two of the Bs, two complete As, and one incomplete A I bought for parts.

No, but I bet they do crop up at shows. Mine all came from train stores- one AB pair was part of an incomplete set, the other AB and parts A unit were kicking around in a store I always love to visit during a regular summer vacation trip with my family.

The Marx HO units didn't come in every livery the O ones had, but they did Rock Island, Santa Fe, Western Pacific, Union Pacific, and New York Central (two liveries- black/white lettering, yellow-orange/black lettering). I've seen mention somewhere online of Santa Fe units molded in silver instead of gray, but I haven't seen one in pictures or out in the wild yet.

Well it's been said the rarest Marx engine is one that doesn't work!

Re assembled the light tower...had to re-spray the vase because you have to handle it a lot and the paint wasn't quite dry ..

Looks great!  I've left a few paw prints on "not quite dry" paint myself!  Wink
