I recently found this photo which I thought I had lost. It's a rendering of a 3D model train set that I worked up years ago using Metasequoia. Obviously I had three things in mind: Dreyfuss' Hudsons, Milwaukee's Beavertails and Disney's monorails. If I remember correctly, I did this around 2007 or 8.
The background was a stock image btw.
Same me, different spelling!
Very interesting,if you could make a model of them it would be cool!
That cow-catcher looks more like a wedge-o-matic.
Turn your 3d model into an .stl file and find somebody with a 3d printer.
You know what that "Dreyfuss" needs? A car speared on the end of the "cowcatcher!"
I did try to turn it into a paper model. But I didn't really understand how things worked at the time. Those hidden polygons and intersecting vortices came out as a completely uninteligible mess in 2D.
